To improve the broadcast reception: Extend
the strap antenna and move the TV in every
direction. You can also adjust the length of the

WARNING
For general safety
· Do not open the TV. The TV should be serviced by qualified personnel
only.
· Should any solid object or liquid fall into the TV, turn off the 1/®
switch and have the TV checked by qualified personnel before
operating it any further.
· When carrying the TV with the strap antenna around your neck,
always hold the TV in your hand or put it in your pocket. If the TV is
not fixed or held securely, the TV could receive a shock or be caught
between a door, causing the TV to malfunction or break.
· Watching the TV while driving could cause an accident, so when using
the TV in a car, always park in a safe place first, and then watch the
TV.
For safe installation
Do not place the TV
­ in a hot place, near a heater or in a car with the windows closed
(especially in summer) or in an extremely cold place
­ in a place subject to excessive dust, moisture, vibration, electronic or
radioactive interference
­ near an AM radio or tuner, as visual or audio interference may occur
For safe operation
· Operate the TV only on 6 V DC for AC power operation, use the
recommended Sony AC power adaptor. Do not use any other type of
AC power adaptors for the TV.
· Do not charge the batteries.
· When not using the TV for a long time, unplug the AC power adaptor
and/or remove the batteries.
· When using the AC power adaptor, always connect/disconnect it by
the plug. Do not pull out the plug by pulling on the lead.
For cleaning
Clean the TV with a slightly damp soft cloth. Use a mild household
detergent. Never use strong solvents such as thinner or benzine as they
may damage the finish of the cabinet.
If there is any question/problem not mentioned in this manual, please
contact your nearest Sony dealer or authorized service centre.
Troubleshooting
The unit does not operate.
· The AC power adaptor is disconnected.
· Incorrect battery polarity.
· Weak batteries.
Herringbone pattern, double images, stripes,
fuzz picture, etc.
· Improper tuning or antenna setting.
Dotted lines or stripes
· Often caused by interference from other
electric appliances.
· Adjust the strap antenna.
No sound from the speaker
· Volume is turned down completely.
· Weak batteries.
