Trinitron technology
A superfine aperture grill of 0.30 mm guarantees sharp, well defined colours and maximum brightness.
Designed with thin, unbroken vertical openings that allow more electrons to reach the colour phosphors on the screen;
images are brighter and colours are more vibrant than those produced by conventional shadow mask systems.
Cylindrical, vertically flat, tinted screen
Produces straighter lines and reduces image distortion, reduces ambient light reflection to provide a more pleasing
screen image that's easier for your eyes and allows for full, square-cornered image display with almost no geometric
distortion.
Intelligent Digital Multiscan Computer Monitor
Intelligence - a CPU and an ASIC - enables the Multiscan 20SF2T to deliver dramatically improved performance.
These chips determine the graphic controllers video frequency, quickly calculate the waveforms required to compen-
sate for geometric parameters (keystone, pincushion balance and vertical linearity) all automatically fine tuned. In
contrast, the coventional digital multiscan monitor simply searches in a table of presets for the nearest match to the
signal coming from the graphic card.
Sony's unique Digital multiscan monitors eliminate image geometry distortion over a continuous range of video modes,
ensuring consistent performance regardless of the resolution.
Trouble free installation with Plug and Play
There are no installation problems with the 20SF2T. Thanks to it's Display Data Channel (DDC) compatibility, the
20SF2T will plug straight into PC's running windows 95 and play without delay. DDC is a new VESA (Video
Electronics Standard Association) standard that allows the monitor to convey important information about itself to the
graphics card enabling automatic adjustments. Provided the graphic card is also DDC compatible, the display will be
used to its optimum advantage.
On screen display
The userfriendly on screen display graphical interface allows quick and precise adjustments of a range of parameters.
The window on the screen shows current settings exactly and allws the user to see how far they can be adjusted.
Low Radiation Standards
Complies with MPR II low emmisions regulations with TUV ergonomics mark in terms of both magnetic and electri-
cal emmision levels.
TCO95 and Energy Star Power Management
The Sony Multiscan 20SF2 is proof of the companies commitment to enviromental monitor safety. It confirms to
TCO95 guidelines, currently among the strictest monitor safety guidelines in existence.
In addition to the exacting power saving and emission regulationslaid down by TCO92, TCO95 sets a number of
stringent ergonomic and enviromental standards. It requires that certain compounds and substances which are hard to
recycle are not used during production or within the monitor.
The Multiscan 20SF2T5 also complies fully with the international Energy star power management guidelines and with
the MPRII guidelines for electromagnetic emissions. It has the TUV/Rheinland Ergonomic Approval.
