an equilateral triangle, is intended to alert the user
to the presence of uninsulated "dangerous voltage"
within the product's enclosure that may be of
sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric
shock to persons.

LINE VOLTAGE SELECTOR SWITCH
Mains voltages in Saudi Arabia are 127 V and 220 V only.
The line voltage selector switch is located on the rear
panel of this receiver. Check that it is set properly before
plugging the power cord into the outlet. If the voltage is
not properly set or if you move to an area where the
voltage requirements differ, adjust the selector switch as
follows:
1. Disconnect the power cord.
2. Use a medium-size screwdriver.
3. Insert the screwdriver into the groove on the voltage
selector, and adjust so that the tip of the arrow points
to the voltage value of your area.

INTERRUPTOR SELECTOR DE VOLTAJE DE

Las tensiones de la red en Arabia Saudí son de 127 V y 220
V solamente.
El interruptor selector de voltaje de línea se ubica en el
panel trasero del reproductor. Verifique que se encuentra
ajustado adecuadamente antes de enchufar el cable de
alimentación al tomacorriente. Si el voltaje no se ajusta
adecuadamente o si va una área en donde los requer-
imientos de voltaje son diferentes, ajuste el interruptor
selector de la manera siguiente:
1. Desconecte el cable de la alimentación.
2. Utilice un destornillador de tamaño medio.
3. Inserte el destornillador en la ranura del conmutador
selector de tensión y mueva el conmutador de forma
que la punta de la flecha señale hacia la tensión
ustilizada en su área.

Energy-saving design
This system is designed to use 1W of electricity
when power is switched to Standby.
POWER-CORD CAUTION
Handle the power cord by the plug. Do not pull out the
plug by tugging the cord and never touch the power cord
when your hands are wet as this could cause a short circuit
or electric shock. Do not place the unit, a piece of
furniture, etc., on the power cord, or pinch the cord. Never
make a knot in the cord or tie it with other cords. The
power cords should be routed such that they are not likely
to be stepped on. A damaged power cord can cause a fire
or give you an electrical shock. Check the power cord once
in a while. When you find it damaged, ask your nearest
PIONEER authorized service center or your dealer for a
replacement.
Ventilation
When installing this unit, make sure to leave space around the
unit for ventilation to improve heat radiation (at least 30 cm at
top, 15 cm at rear, and 15 cm at each side). If not enough space
is provided between the unit and walls or other equipment,
heat will build up inside, interfering with performance or
causing malfunctions.
This product is for general household purposes. Any
failure due to use for other than household purposes
(such as long-term use for business purposes in a
restaurant or use in a car or ship) which requires repair
will be charged for even during the warranty period.
CAUTION:
This product satisfies FCC regulations when shielded
cables and connectors are used to connect the unit
to other equipment. To prevent electromagnetic
interference with electric appliances such as radios
and televisions, use shielded cables and connectors
for connections.

LA MANIPULACION DEL CABLE DE
ALIMENTACION
Tome el cable de alimentación por la clavija. No extraiga la
clavija tirando del cable. Nunca toque el cable de alimen-
tación cuando sus manos estén mojadas, ya que esto
podría causar cortocircuitos o descargas eléctricas. No
coloque la unidad, algún mueble, etc., sobre el cable de
alimentación. Asegúrese de no hacer nudos en el cable ni
de unirlo a otros cables. Los cables de alimentación
deberán ser dispuestos de tal forma que la probabilidad de
que sean pisados sea mínima. Una cable de alimentación
dañado podrá causar incendios o descargas eléctricas.
Revise el cable de alimentación está dañado, solicite el
reemplazo del mismo al centro de servicio autorizado
PIONEER más cercano, o a su distribuidor.
Ventilación
Cuando se instala esta unidad, asegúrese de dejar espacio
alrededor de la unidad para proporcionar ventilación y mejorar
así la radiación del calor (por lo menos 30 cm en la parte
superior, 15 cm en la parte trasera y 15 cm de cada lado). Si no
hay suficiente espacio entre la unidad y las paredes u otro
equipo, se acumulará calor en el interior, interfiriendo con el
rendimiento o causando fallas de funcionamiento.
