DISASSEMBLY
3.1
DISASSEMBLY PROCEDURE
3.1.1 REMOVING THE CONTROL PWB (Fig.1)
(1) Remove the 4 screws [A].
(2) Remove the CONTROL PWB COVER.
(3) Remove the CONTROL PWB.
NOTE:
The CONTROL PWB is not supplied.
3.1.2 REMOVING THE INVERTER PWB (Fig.1)
(1) Remove the 6 screws [B].
(2) Remove the INVERTER PWB COVER.
(3) Remove the INVERTER PWB.

3.1.3 REMOVING THE LAMP UNIT (Fig.2)
· Remove the INVERTER PWB.
(1) Remove the 4 screws [C] and 12 screws [D].
(2) Remove the 4 hooks [E].
(3) Remove the TOP PANEL FRAME.
REFERENCE:
Insert a flat-blade screwdriver between the TOP PANEL
FRAME and the CENTRE PANEL FRAME, and then
slightly twist and push the 2 hooks [E] on either the left
side or the right side.
(4) Remove the FPC WIRE form the SOURCE PWB.
(5) Remove the 4 screws [F] and 4 screws [G].
(6) Remove the 6 screws [H].
(7) Remove the CENTRE PANEL FRAME with LCD PANEL.
CAUTION:
When removing the CENTRE PANEL FRAME, spread a
cloth over the LCD PANEL to protect it from being
damaged.
(8) Remove the 4 PANEL SHEETS together all at once.
CAUTION:
· Make sure to check the attachment order before
removing the PANEL SHEETS as the attachment
order and the front-back sides (positions) of the
PANEL SHEETS are decided.
· When attaching the PANEL SHEETS, adjust the
notches in the right and the left corners to the notches
of the LAMP HOLDERS.
(9) Remove the 4 screws [K] and 4 hooks [J].
(10) Remove the LAMP HOLDER(L/R).
(11) Remove the LAMP CLIP.
(12) Remove the LAMP UNIT.
CAUTION:
When replacing the LAMP UNIT, be careful to avoid any
dust entering inside.
CAUTION ON EXCHANGING THE LAMP UINT
· LAMP UNIT is supplied in a pair of two lamps. Replacing
only the died one pair of the LAMP UNIT after a long use
results in a brighter spot, causing unevenness on the
screen. Replace the whole LAMP UNITS (9 pairs) when
replacement is required.
· If the screws that are not specified in this section are
removed, the LCD PANEL will be removed and it cannot be
reassembled.

A symptom of LAMP UNIT failure:
If any of the LAMP UNIT (2 lamps/ pair) dies, the screen display
appears just once for a moment when the power is on, and
then it disappears. The INVERTER PWB failure shows the
same symptom.
CAUTION:
· Replace the LAMP UNIT in the place where there is less
dust.
· When replacing the LAMP UNIT, make sure to wear gloves.
Any soil on the LCD PANEL results in uneven colour and
uneven brightness. The soil on the LCD PANEL also results
in short LAMP UNIT life.
