  Senate Banking panel reviewing Facebook IPO issues WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Senate Banking Committee is reviewing "issues raised in the news" regarding Facebook's botched initial public offering, a Democratic Senate Banking aide said on Wednesday. The review is not considered a formal investigation at this point, but entails briefings among the committee staff and regulators, Facebook and other stakeholders. The announcement by the committee comes on the heels of reports by Reuters that an analyst for lead underwriter Morgan Stanley cut his revenue forecasts for Facebook in the days before the offering. ...   Apple and Samsung fail to reach patent settlement during talks
After two days of settlement talks between the chief executives of Samsung and Apple, the two companies failed to reach an agreement that would end their on-going legal battles over mobile patents, The Korea Times reported on Wednesday. According to a Samsung official, the two technology giants could find no clear agreement during the talks. Both companies remained firm with their arguments, with Samsung demanding Apple pay royalties for using its wireless transmission technology and Apple insisting that Samsung copied its designs.
